2020 Pin Loom Mystery Weave-Along — WEEK 1

No foolin’, today we’re starting our Mystery WAL!

Goals for this week are to

  • finalize our loom and yarn choices, and to
  • weave and assemble the first six weavies.

    Hi. Thanks for doing this, I’m sure it is a lot of work. My question is, if I choose to crochet the squares together, what do you recommend for the color of yarn? Contrasting or background color?

    • Hi Lynn,
      That’s a good question, I think both options would work! When I wrote about the crocheted edgings I had a contrasting color in mind, like black, for a stained glass effect. However, I think using the background color will also work very well, since it would stay “within your theme”. I suggest that I crochet around one weavie and then lay it on top of the other weavies to see if you like the effect!
